Woohoo! I made it to the second round for the 2014  Global Talent Search!  I was very happy to find out I was one of the top 50 selected from 999 entries!

I am late to blog about it, but I have been already sharing on all my social media platforms, so hopefully you have read of it already there. The second round required the Top 50 Semi-Finalists to create a personified animal character for a t-shirt for a young child. This is my design!

I went all fashion forward, which is obviously referencing a 1980’s aesthetic, but with a modern palette. I hope you like it!

I also designed a full range of prints that co-ordinate. I tried to make them fairly unisex. They are a bit small on the entry board, so you can see them in more detail here..

The voting has been open for a week for a public vote. As whilst the HUGE panel of 15+ judges from various industries will pick 5, the public will get to choose one. The decision will be announced on Wednesday, so it is an anxious wait and see for now… I don’t want to get my hopes up, and I was fairly calm for these two roundss, but if I did make it through to the next round, well, it would be beyond exciting!! There are some really fantastic entries though, so the competition is pretty high!

I will try and blog about it as soon as I get news, but as I am working 4 days a week for Kmart Australia at the moment, so my time is a bit limited.

Until then. please keep your fingers and toes crossed for me for the 3rd round!!
